President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Ahmed Saleem as the Commissioner of Sports, in accordance with Article 6 (b) of the Sports Act. He was appointed to the position at the level of Deputy Minister.
Ahmed Saleem has been serving in the field of sports for a long time. In 2018, he also received the National Award of Honour for his contributions in the area of Sports; Sports Management and Technical Services to Sports Development. He also has done numerous sports-related training.
