Spain's RIU Hotels and Resorts has opened two resorts developed in Maldives. The Hotel RIU Palace and Hotel RIU Atoll was inaugurated by Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed.
The ceremony was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Zhang Lizhong and senior members of RIU hotels. Hotel RIU Palace Maldives is a five-star resort while Hotel RIU Atoll is a four-star hotel. The resorts were developed in Kedhigandu and Maafushi in Dhaalu Atoll connected by a walkway.
The Hotel RIU Palace have176 land-based villas with direct access to the sea, and water villas with a private terrace and stairway leading to the sea, some of them equipped with private pools.
Hotel RIU Atoll consists of a total of 264 rooms with spectacular sunset views over the ocean.
