Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has submitted the audit report after the deadline.
The audit report was submitted to Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) on Wednesday, according to PPM. The audit report of the previous year must be submitted within the first three months of the year, according to Political Parties Act. The audit report must be compiled by a licenced auditor and submitted to ECM and Prosecutor General's Office.
Speaking to PSM News, spokesperson and member of ECM Ahmed Akram said PPM submitted the report after the deadline, adding although ECM accepted the report, action would be taken against the party. He revealed Adhaalath Party and Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) have still not submitted the reports.
