Home Minister appoints MCS Inspector

Minister of Home Affairs has appointed Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu as the Inspector of Maldives Correctional Service (MCS). Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu was appointed following the resignation of the Mohamed Ibrahim Didi who previously held the post.

The new Inspector of MCS has attained Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations and Master’s Degree in Social Policy. He has served as the Director of National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) of Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) and previously as Deputy Director General of Ministry of Gender. He is also a member of the commission to audit prisons.

Inspector of MCS is required to update Ministry of Home Affairs on the situation of the places where detainees are held.
