Ministry of Tourism has revealed floating islands shall be developed in three lagoons of Male' atoll.
The project was initially contracted to Dutch Docklands in 2010. However, the project has been at a standstill due to various reasons.
Addressing a press conference held by the ministry, Minister of State for Tourism Dr. Ahmed Solih said the deadline for the completion of the project has been set as May 2023.
Last week, Ministry of Tourism has renewed the agreement with Dutch Docklands, with certain changes incorporated into the project.
