Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed has embarked on trip to South of Maldives in efforts to promote local tourism in inhabited islands.
During the three-day trip, Tourism Minister Ali Waheed will hold discussions with council members to enhance local tourism in the islands. Minister will also meet with business personnel in the islands to inquire the challenges faced in developing the sector.
During the three-day trip, minister will visit Thinadhoo and Kaadehdhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and Villingili and Kooddoo in Gaafu Alifu Atoll. The minister will meet with council members of all islands.
The minister is accompanied by Managing Director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) Mohamed Raaid and officials from MITDC and tourism ministry.
