Security forces of Maldives have concluded emergency response exercises in Greater Male' Region.
Speaking to PSM News after concluding the emergency response exercises held jointly by Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and Maldives Police Service (MPS) in Male' region, Director General of Operations of Training at MNDF Brigadier General Hamid Shafeeq revealed the exercises were held to enhance the response of security forces in special situations. He said the exercises were also held to identify and practice the response situation in case of an explosive device.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen said the trainings were also held to aware the officers on the globalizing and the changing world. Naveen further stated the police officers will now be aware of the level of cooperation to extend to MNDF in special situations.
Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi, Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal monitored the trainings.
