Parliamentarian Imthiyaz Fahmy has expressed interest to become the parliamentary representative at Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
Speaking on a programme aired on PSM News, Imthiyaz Fahmy revealed he does not have any interest to run for the speaker or the deputy speaker of parliament, adding however, he wishes to become the parliamentary representative at JSC. Imthiyaz added he aspires to contribute to the advancements and reform of the judiciary.
There are 10 members in JSC, out of which 3 are representatives from the parliament, including the speaker. The remaining seven members are the president's representative, the attorney general, president of the Civil Service Commission, a lawyer, and judges from the three courts.
