Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed has revealed several efforts are being exerted to enhance the scope of services provided by police divisions in atolls.
Speaking at a dinner night held at Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll to mark the 86th anniversary of Maldives Police Service, Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed lauded the efforts of the police divisions in atolls. In this regard, police commissioner stated efforts are underway to further enhance the services provided in the atoll divisions.
Mohamed Hameed noted the while formulating the strategic plan, importance was given to develop the plan in a way it will benefit the atoll divisions. While eight areas are prioritized in the strategic plan for the next 5 years, local policing will focus on enhancing division polices services, elaborated the police commissioner.
The ceremony held at Thinadhoo was attended by Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla and officers of Maldives Police Service.
