Maldives Reform Movement (MRM) has stated it has met the membership requirement to register as a political party.
Speaking to PSM News, Abdul Aleem actively engaged in forming the political party said the forms will be submitted in the last date given by Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM). The latest date given to MRM to submit the forms is May 28. Noting the membership drive is carried out speedily, Abdul Aleem expressed the number of people joining the party is increasing.
Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, received permission to form Maldives Reform Movement (MRM) as a political party on February 18. Maumoon previously formed two political parties, Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).
