Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has inaugurated the Radiology Department in Hulhumale’ Hospital. With the launch of the department, the hospital has now begun providing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services.
Speaking the function held to inaugurate the Radiology Department, Health Minister Ameen said the aim of the administration is to develop the healthcare services provide Hulhumale’, which would ensure patients do not have to travel to Male’ City for medical purposes. Noting the increasing population of Hulhumale’, the health minister ensured the administration would provide healthcare services to the residents of Hulhumale’. However, he highlighted there are challenges in acquiring medical equipment and machinery and recruiting individuals trained in healthcare services.
With the inauguration of the Radiology Department, Hulhumale’ Hospital will provide x-ray services, ultrasound scan and MRI scan. New services will be introduced in the near future and the facility will be further enhance, according to Hulhumale’ Hospital.
