Maldives has held event in support and solidarity with Sri Lanka, following the series of bomb attacks in the country.
The event initiated by Maldives Red Crescent was attended by First Lady Fazna Ahmed, former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, cabinet ministers, senior government officials and many Sri Lankan nationals living in Maldives. During the event participants shared their views and thoughts.
Thousands of Maldivians reside in neighbouring Sri Lanka for various purposes.
