President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has watched the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in Bengaluru, India. President Solih arrived in India as the chief guest of the match on an invitation from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Before the match, Captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore Virat Kohli and his Chennai Super Kings counterpart MS Dhoni presented autographed jerseys of their respective teams to President Solih.
While the president watched the match played in the Chinnaswamy Stadium, he also met with BCCI officials and expressed gratitude for the initiation. He was accompanied by Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
President Solih is a cricket enthusiast and played in the first division team of Victory Sports Club in Maldives.
