In a shuffle to its leadership, PPM appoints 3 deputy leaders

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has appointed three vice presidents.

In this regard, Parliamentarian-Elect Ghassan Maumoon, Parliamentarian Ahmed Shiyam and former Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu were appointed as vice presidents following a council meeting.

While three vice presidents have been appointed, following an extraordinary congress after the defeat in presidential election, PPM elected former Parliamentarian Abdul Raheem Abdulla, former Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, former Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer and former Minister of Legal Affairs at President's office Aishath Azima Shakoor as vice presidents.

Abdul Raheem Abdulla recently become the leader of newly formed People's National Alliance (PNC) and Mohamed Saeed became the deputy leader of PNC. Azima and Zameer are currently abroad.

PPM refrained from officially commenting on the leadership change.
