President arrives in India on an unofficial trip

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has arrived in Bengaluru, India on an unofficial trip.

All expenses of the trip made by President Solih upon invitation of Indian Cricket Board will be borne by the Government of India, according to the Spokesperson at President's office Ibrahim Hood. He added President Solih will attend an IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.

Although no official activities are planned during the trip, President Solih will meet Maldivian families in India, according to information received.

The president is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof.
