Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has revealed efforts are underway to retrieve USD 14.3 million lost.
Speaking to media, Managing Director of MMPRC Thayyib Mohamed said USD 14.3 million must be received from three entities. However, he did not reveal any further details.
Moreover, Thayyib said the case is currently in court procedures, expressing hope the funds will be retrieved soon. Noting a large amount of funds must be received to MMPRC, on the same note, Thayyib expressed payments to some entities from MMPRC are also pending.
Speaking in this regard, he added USD 324,000 have been paid in the past few months.
