Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has revealed plans to utilise motorcycles under the first responder service to attend accident scenes. The health minister made the remarks at the ceremony held to launch National Road Safety Action Plan 2019-2023.
Addressing the ceremony, Health Minister Ameen said latest preparations are underway to commence the use of cycles in attending accident scenes to provide first responder service to casualties. In this regard, the health minister noted efforts are underway to commence services of paramedic ambulances in Male' City next month. First responders will be trained before commencing the service, he added.
Moreover, the health minister expressed several efforts are initiated to provide first aid service efficiently following accidents.
