Citizens urged to convey rich culture and heritage

Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage Yumna Maumoon has appealed all citizens to execute their individual responsibility to successfully convey the rich culture and heritage left for us by our ancestors. She made the appeal at the national address delivered commemorating World Heritage Day.

In the address, minister said several efforts needs to be initiated to persevere the rich heritage of the country adding the heritage, culture and tradition are experienced today because the ancestors preserved and delivered them to the future generations.

Furthermore, the minister called on every individual to execute their part to preserve the culture. She revealed it is important that love for culture is maintained, so that the culture is preserved for years and generations to come.

Noting heritage is the biggest asset which is directly connected to beliefs of the nation, the minister said local production and creativity were seen from the heritage sites. Moreover, the minister expressed if heritage is preserved, ways can be found to generate income via local tourism.
