Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed has called on Maldives Police Service to show professionalism and exemplary efforts on voting day.
Addressing over 2,000 police officers to be deployed for the parliamentary elections to be held tomorrow, Police Commissioner Hameed urged the police officers to fully take up the opportunity. The commissioner advised the officers to follow the guidelines set by Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) and the briefings given to the officers when tackling a case on voting day. He also applauded the efforts of the police in the past elections.
Addressing the officers as part of Operation Blue Tide, launched to maintain the security for the elections, Commissioner Hameed called on the officers to ensure peace across the country on voting day.
