Health Protection Agency (HPA) has urged to take preventive measures during the prevailing hot weather.
HPA said since it is expected that all areas of Maldives will experience hot weather until June, it is best to take preventive measures. In an advisory, HPA also urged to take measures to eliminate any health issues which may be caused due to hot weather.
Maldives experience the hottest weather in April on average every year, according to Maldives Meteorological Office. Citing statistics, the meteorological office said temperature across Maldives is at 32 or 33 degrees Celsius. The office said the temperature will increase in April. However, the meteorological office revealed Maldives will not experience excessive heat.
Following the increase in temperature, HPA has urged to stay hydrated at all times. Moreover, HPA advised to stay cool, schedule outdoor activities carefully and to wear sunscreen.
