Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj has arrived on an official visit to Maldives. The Indian external affairs minister is visiting Maldives on an invitation from Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
Minister Shushma Swaraj was received at Velana International Airport (VIA) by the foreign minister and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both governments will discuss ongoing and future collaboration arrangements, including the implementation of the agreed outcomes of the State Visit to India by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
In this regard, it is expected discussions will focus on development cooperation, cooperation in the field of health, and enhancing people-to-people contact.
