Mayor of Male' City Sifa Mohamed has revealed plans to develop a four-storey market in Male'.
Speaking at a meeting held for Male' City residents, Mayor Sifa Mohamed said since the market is being developed to cater to a population of about 42,000, many challenges would arise in providing services.
Revealing that the decision have been made to build a four-storey market with all latest facilities, she said discussions have now concluded with relevant authorities. Sifa elaborated, the new market will be equipped with elevators and other modern equipment.
Moreover, Sifa revealed, a market will be developed in Villimale' as well.
The meeting was attended by residents of Male', Villimale' and Hulhumale'.
