World Bank Director to Maldives Dr. Idah Z. Pswarayi-Riddihough has expressed the organisation is committed to helping the present government on a number of areas, including renewable energy, waste management and public finance management.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office, Pswarayi-Riddihough and the vice president discussed some of the developmental issues and challenges facing Maldives and deliberated on a way forward. Pswarayi-Riddihough expressed it was an honour to be able to meet with the vice president and noted the constructive partnership between the Maldives and the World Bank.
The vice president expressed his gratitude for all the World Bank has done for the progress and development of Maldives over the years and thanked the director for her excellent suggestions regarding further development cooperation.
