Vice President meets children of Feeali brought to Male'

Vice President of Maldives Faisal Naseem has visited the children brought from Feeali in Faafu Atoll diagnosed with Dengue who are now admitted in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). He was accompanied by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali.

During the visit, Vice President met with the parents of children diagnosed with dengue.

On Friday, 6 children were brought to Male’ diagnosed with Dengue for further treatment with the assistance of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). 2 children were discharged, 3 children are still under observation and preparations are underway to send one child abroad as the condition is serious, according to IGMH.

The island with a population of over 1,000 is fogged every day in efforts to control the spread of dengue.
