President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has advised to adapt to healthy lifestyles to prevent cancer.
In a tweet posted as part of the campaign initiated by Cancer Society of Maldives, President Solih also pledged to encourage to adapt to healthy lifestyles.
Meanwhile, First Lady Fazna Ahmed assured to continue to support cancer awareness programmes.
Moreover, Vice President Faisal Naseem participated in the ceremony held to launch the Active Workplace programme organised by Cancer Society Maldives. During the ceremony Vice President called to screen for cancer regularly.
To celebrate the World Cancer Day, several activities are held in Maldives. The slogan for this year’s cancer day is ‘’I Am and I Will.’’
"I Am and I Will" is an empowering call-to-action urging for personal commitment and represents the power of individual action taken now to impact the future.
