USD 415 million withdrawn via ATMs in 2018: BML

Bank of Maldives (BML) has revealed USD 415 million were withdrawn via ATMs last year.

While USD 415 million were withdrawn from ATMs, it is an increase of USD 115 million compared to 2017, according to statistics published by BML. In 2017, USD 300 million were withdrawn via ATMs. Last year, BML sold USD 42.7 million for 87,432 locals going abroad which decreased compared to 2017. In 2017, BML sold USD 48.2 million to locals departing abroad.

Moreover, according to statistics, the total transactions from BML card services amount to USD 222 million.
