Vice President encourages to adapt to healthy lifestyles

Vice President Faisal Naseem has urged everyone to avoid unhealthy activities and to stop the consumption of tobacco.

Speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the Active Workplace programme organised by Cancer Society Maldives. Expressing concerns over the increase in number of patients suffering from cancer, the vice president noted that everyone should take preventative measures to decrease the chances of getting cancer. He also advised everyone to be active at their workplace and eat healthy food.

Moreover, the vice president noted everyone should help the younger generation to stop consuming tobaccos. Highlighting building a healthy nation is one of the key pledges of this administration, the vice president noted the president himself is actively involved in building a healthy nation.

Concluding his speech, the vice president expressed his gratitude for Cancer Society of Maldives for organising such an event.

Speaking regarding the Active Workplace concept, Chairperson of Cancer Society of Maldives Juwairiya Saeed the concept is introduced to encourage active lifestyle.
