Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has expected USD 334 million will be received within the first three months of the year.
While MIRA has expected USD 334 million as the total income of the first quarter, MIRA received USD 322 million as income during the same period of last year. Therefore, the expected amount for the first quarter of this year is an increase of 3.6% compared to last year.
MIRA has expected the most amount of income will generate from Goods and Services Tax (GST). In this regard, MIRA has supposed USD 161 million as GST in first quarter which attributes to 48.4% of the total income.
