Minister of Tourism has met with Immigration Controller in efforts to solve the issues faced by tourists arriving at Gan International Airport.
The meeting, held in the wake of Sri Lankan Airlines halting its operations to Addu City, was attended by Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed, Controller General of Immigration Mohamed Ahsan Hussain and officials from Sri Lankan Airlines.
While neither Ministry of Tourism nor Maldives Immigration revealed details about the meeting, Managing Director of General Sales Agent of Ace Aviation Mohamed Firaq described the meeting as successful. In this regard, Firaq revealed the government assured to solve any hurdles and issues faced by tourists arriving at Addu City. He also revealed Sri Lankan Airlines has committed to continue its operation.
