Finland willing to strengthen Maldivian education system

The government of Finland have expressed willingness to assist Maldives to strengthen the education system and to help the Maldives make progress in various other areas, including the development of clean technology, and digital healthcare. The statement was made during a call following a ceremony held at President's Office for the newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Maldives Harri Kämäräinen to present his Letter of Credence to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

During the subsequent call, the ambassador congratulated President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on his electoral victory, and reiterated the president's remarks with regard to increasing cooperation between the two countries. He particularly noted the positive regard from Maldives towards the Finnish education system, which is widely acknowledged to be of exceptionally high quality.

Meanwhile, President Solih welcomed Ambassador Kämäräinen to Maldives and congratulated him on his appointment. He expressed appreciation for the warm and friendly sentiments that continue to underscore bilateral ties between Maldives and Finland, and hope the positive relations will continue to prosper into the future.

Concluding the call, Ambassador Kämäräinen reiterated his well wishes towards the president and the people of Maldives.
