Ministry of Education has revealed plans to introduce digital library services in schools to assist in studying with the use of tablets.
Speaking to the media, Minister of State for Education Dr. Abdulla Rasheed said the administration prioritises developing the education sector with the latest technological facilities. In this regard, the state minister noted discussions have been concluded with an Indian company to introduce digital library services in Maldives. He added the project will commence in the coming days, noting the services will be made available for the tablets given to the students.
Furthermore, State Minister Abdulla Rasheed said the application will comprise of various books, educational researches and topics on various subjects.
Thousands of tablets have been distributed to students and teachers to assist in the education provided at the schools.
