Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali has revealed plans to establish a separate division to further enhance the implementation of inclusive education.
In the official statement commemorating the commencement of the academic new year 2019, Education Minister Aishath Ali assured the administration will enhance efforts to implement and improve the inclusive education policy. In this regard, the minister revealed a special division will be established specialised for inclusive education policy. She highlighted the decision is an addition to the new education policy implemented by the administration.
Furthermore, the education minister noted as part of the education policy, schools will be handed over to respective managements to decentralise the operations. The minister added the decision to hand over and grant powers to school managements will further contribute to the democracy and education sector alike.
In her official statement, Minister Aishath Ali highlighted the inauguration of the pilot programme to provide breakfast for students expressing hope to conduct a successful and a sustainable project.
On conclusion, the minister noted the past century has brought revolutionary changes to the education sector in Maldives.
