134 Schools Adapt To One Session

Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali has expressed several schools will begin teaching for one session with the beginning of the academic new year.

Arrangements to operate for one session have been made so far in 134 schools and those schools will begin teaching for one session from Sunday onwards, according to the Education Minister Aishath Ali. She also said following an audit, necessary arrangements will be made for schools which lack the capacity to operate for one session.

The administration has exerted efforts to change all schools to one session. The administration has included in the first 100-day pledge policy to commence a survey on shifting schools to one session.

Over 70,000 students have been enrolled in 212 schools for the academic new year, which will begin on January 13.
