Attorney General appointed President of JSC Special Committee

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath as the president of the commission formed to investigate the allegations questioning the legitimacy of the judges.

JSC has decided to investigate the extent of authenticity of the allegations made by the President of the Presidential Commission on Murders and Enforced Disappearances Husnul Suood against the judges and the courts of law. JSC said following investigations, legal action will be taken incorporation with relevant authorities against any judge or person found guilty. The commission also noted it will seek the assistance from Husnul Suood to collect evidence along with the assistance of investigative authorities.

Meanwhile, JSC has assured to conduct swift investigations into the allegations as it questions the legitimacy of the judicial bodies, reiterating the importance of maintaining public trust for the judiciary.
