Health Ministry launches handbook to implement regularised vector control measures

Ministry of Health has unveiled the Handbook to Implement Regularised Vector Control Measures, and Control of Pests and Zoonotic Disease Reservoirs of Public Health Concern under the government's 100-day pledge policy.

At a ceremony held at Champa Central Hotel, the handbook was officially launched by Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen. The handbook comprises of tasks of other government authorities and activities planned to implement regularised vector control measures, and control of pests and zoonotic disease reservoirs of public health concern.

Moreover, during the ceremony, relevant authorities signed with the health ministry to implement the project. In this regard, Health Protection Agency (HPA), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources, Local Government Authority and Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) signed the agreement.

During the ceremony, the health minister urged the support from all relevant authorities and the public.
