Ambassador of Singapore Chua Thian Poh has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem.
During the call held at the President's Office, Vice President Faisal noted Maldives and Singapore have enjoyed an exceptional relationship in the past years. The vice president also expressed hope the existing bilateral relations between the two countries will further strengthen in the future.
The vice president commended Singapore on its developmental achievements, especially in the area of socio-economic development. He also exchanged ideas with the Singaporean ambassador on continuing cooperation in socio-economic development in Maldives and the advancement of youth.
During the call, Ambassador Chua Thian Poh exchanged views with the vice president on ways to further cooperation between Maldives and Singapore, especially in the area of education. Moreover, the vice president and the ambassador discussed areas of mutual interest that could be further expanded.
