World Travel Market (WTM) London 2018 has concluded with Maldivian exhibitors hailing the event as a major success unlike any other year. The leading global event for the travel industry was held from November 5 to 7 at ExCel London.
Organisers of the local stand at the event, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) noted numerous meetings were held between travel trade professionals representing the Maldivian and foreign companies. The meetings have given hope for a brighter future for the tourism sector. MMPRC alone held over 20 meetings per day during the three-day event.
Meanwhile travel trade professional who represented Maldives at the event noted the local stand was more spacious this year, allowing them to hold meetings with ease. They described the event as a huge success noting numerous fruitful meetings and partnership discussions were held during the three-day event.
This is the 34th year Maldives have participated at WTM London, with participation of 67 travel trade professionals bringing 200 exhibitors representing Maldives. WTM London is one of the top travel trade events held in the UK with the sole purpose of providing industry professionals a platform to market their products.
This year alone over 5,000 exhibitors from around the world participated in the global event with millions having visited the event.
