Vice President-Elect Faisal Naseem has stated the aim of the incoming government is to provide healthcare, without having to go abroad, at an affordable price. The incoming vice president made the statement at launching of the Brain and Spine Conference 2018 conducted by ADK.
Noting numerous gaps exist in the provision of health care in the country, Faisal said certain areas need to be explored and study into these fields need to be expanded. In this regard, Faisal noted the absence of neurosurgeons, while speaking about the lack of specialist doctors in the country. He pledged to develop enough human resource for the healthcare sector of Maldives during the term of the incoming government.
The Brain and Spine Conference 2018 is attended by both local and foreign doctors.
