Maldives has won the prestigious position again as the World's Best Spa Destination at the 4th annual World Spa Awards held at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort on October 26. In addition to the destination awards, Maldives also won prestigious awards in various categories during the event.
Maldives competed against other world class destinations such as Thailand, Hawaii, Mauritius, Australia, Seychelles, USA and UAE for the title. The event was attended by hundreds of industry leaders from across the region and around the globe.
World Spa Awards is a dynamic awards programme, launched in 2015 and designed to drive up standards within spa tourism by rewarding the organisations that are the leaders in the field. Launched by the World Travel Awards, itself inaugurated in 1994, as a sister programme to the World Ski Awards and World Golf Awards, World Spa Awards is focused on the rapidly evolving spa and wellness sector.
