Maldives has won the prestigious position of the Indian Ocean's Leading Beach Destination, Indian Ocean's Leading Dive Destination and Indian Ocean's Leading Destination at the Annual World Travel Awards; Africa and Indian Ocean held at The Dubran International Convention Centre, South Africa. Maldives once again secured the prestigious position after fierce competition with Africa and Indian Ocean's top tourist destinations such as Seychelles and Mauritius.
The evening also forms part of the silver jubilee World Travel Awards Grand Tour 2018, the World Travel Awards' 25th anniversary of honouring excellence in the international hospitality industry. At the red carpet event, the formal announcement of your victory and the stage presentation of your World Travel Award took place along with filmed media interviews.
