Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has congratulated President-Elect of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on his victory in the presidential election.
Congratulating Ibrahim Mohamed Solih via a phone call, Narendra Modi conveyed his good wishes for the strengthening of democracy, peace and prosperity in Maldives under the new leadership. Both leaders agreed to work closely together to further strengthen the close, friendly and good neighbourly relations between the two countries.
While the Indian Prime Minister congratulated President-Elect, the US government has also conveyed congratulations to Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
