President says his deepest satisfaction comes from overcoming challenges

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has underscored his deepest satisfaction comes from overcoming the most difficult of challenges.

During an exclusive television interview to PSM News, President Abdulla Yameen noted his greatest pleasure is working towards and realising the needs of Maldivians and completing the huge development projects undertaken by the administration. The president expressed it was his passion to complete challenging tasks.

In addition, President Yameen highlighted the world leader who inspired him the most was the former Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, adding his efforts have made and defined much of what is Singapore today and proves possible what small nations can achieve.

Looking back on his journey, the president underscored his family instils him with courage and confidence, particularly highlighting the social work carried out by First lady Fathimath Ibrahim as a personal inspiration.

President Yameen stated the administration cannot tolerate any action against the sovereignty of the Maldives. The President also highlighted about the political hardships he has had to overcome, noting that, all his decisions during such times considered first and foremost, the Maldivian people.
