Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has reopened the Dhovemi Arrival Shop, the duty-free shop at Velana International Airport (VIA) after renovation. The duty-free shop at VIA was reopened by Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, with special promotions and new brands. After launching the shop, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed toured the shop and viewed the available brands.
Dhovemi Arrival Shop at VIA was opened in 2014 as a duty-free shop in the international terminal. The shop offers a variety of products varying cosmetics, perfumes, sunglasses, watch, wallets and many more of world luxury brands. Previous 60 square foot shop has been enhanced to a 110 square foot shop, according to MACL.
Speaking to media, Head of Duty-Free of MACL Rahmathullah Ashraf stated the shop was enhanced realising the demand for Maldivians for luxury brands and to provide the products easily.
Dhovemi Arrival Shop at VIA is famous among tourists and locals.
