Government to initiate a 1,000-bed tourism project in Fuvahmulah City

The government of Maldives has revealed plans to initiate a 1,000 bed tourism development project in Fuvahmulah City as part of the integrated tourism project.

At a press conference, Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer revealed the planning process has been concluded, with the project ready to be launched in the coming days. Noting the first phase of the project was conducted in Kaashidhoo of Kaafu Atoll, the tourism minister said the project initiated in the island will conclude successfully. As part of the project, blocks accommodating 1,000 beds will be developed in both beach fronts of Fuvahmulah, according to tourism ministry.

The main aim of the project is to offer business and job opportunities for people in the area while staying in their homeland.
