First lady travels to Laamu Atoll as part of her nationwide social campaign

First Lady of Maldives Fathimath Ibrahim has travelled to Laamu Atoll as part of her nationwide social campaign. During the trip, the first lady is scheduled to visit the islands in Laamu Atoll and meet with the island communities.

As part of her tour of Laamu Atoll, the first lady has visited Isdhoo and Kalaidhoo where she was warmly received by both islands. Moreover, the first lady met with the citizens of the islands, prioritising people with special needs and elderly citizens. She inquired about the livelihoods of the citizens and interacted with children, women and staff of government authorities and enquired about the living condition of the citizens in the islands.

Furthermore, the first lady inaugurated a campaign quarter of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in Kalaidhoo. During her visit to Laamu Atoll, the first lady is accompanied by Deputy Parliament Speaker Moosa Manik, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, parliamentarians, and government officials.
