Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has revealed plans of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to develop the main road of Isdhoo in Laamu Atoll if he is given a second term in office. The economic minister made the remarks during First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim's current visit to Laamu Atoll, as part of her nationwide social campaign.
Speaking with the citizens of Isdhoo, Economic Minister Saeed stated President Yameen attaches importance to the social beneficial projects in the island with further importance to be given to the needs of youth in his second term. Developing the main road of Isdhoo to modern standards is in the pipeline, the minister noted.
During the trip, the citizens delivered the needs and the development they envision for the island. In this regard, the youth requested to establish a youth centre and to increase the job opportunities in the island.
