CIRP to provide exclusive scholarships for Maldivians

Sri Lanka's Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology (CIRP) has opened scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students.

At a ceremony held at the Embassy of Maldives in Sri Lanka, Maldivian Educational and Cultural Centre (MECC) and CIRP signed an agreement of venture. The agreement was signed by Ambassador of Maldives to Sri Lanka Mohamed Hussain Shareef and Collins Group Chairman of CIRP Dr. Dharshan Perera.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mohamed Hussain Shareef acknowledged the closeness attached by the Sri Lankan authorities towards Maldives.

As part of the agreement, CIRP will provide 20 full scholarships and 34 part-funded scholarships on course fees, exclusively for Maldivian students. Areas of scholarships include Diploma of International Foundation, Diploma of Higher Education in Psychology, Diploma of Higher Education in Business and Diploma of Higher Education in Hospitality.

CIRP is a private higher educational institute registered under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka with a student population of 600 and a panel of more than 20 full-time and part-time lecturers. CIRP is the South Asia's largest private education provider in Psychology, providing course programmes ranging from Certificates to Masters.
