Maldives TV signs as Media Partner of SATA 2018

Maldives TV, managed by Public Service Media (PSM), has signed as the media partner of South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2018. The agreement was signed by Deputy Managing Director of PSM Mohamed Ikram Abdul Latheef and Director, Communications of SATA Mohamed Shamin Ali.
At the signing ceremony held at PSM TV Building, Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Ikram highlighted Maldives TV was a brand created by PSM to advertise Maldives as a tourist destination, especially in the international market. Ikram pledged to make SATA a popular event by utilising all the resources available from Maldives TV and other channels and brands managed by PSM.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director, Communications Mohamed Shamin noted SATA is the most prestigious event held for the hospitality sector in the region. Shamin said the annual nominations increasing from 250 to 500, within a period of 5 years show the popularity of the event in the region.
Furthermore, at the ceremony, Allied Insurance Company and The Hawks Private Limited signed as Gold Partners of SATA 2018.
A total of 5 countries from 36 categories will compete for the awards this year, which will be held at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, India on September 14, according to the organiser, Highrise Private Limited.
SATA is the first ever regional travel awards endorsed by multi-national associations providing the tourism sector of the South Asian region with recognition towards their facilities and service excellence. SATA aims to encourage and raise service standards within the regions of the tourism industry.
