Youth is our greatest asset: President

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has underlined the youth is the greatest asset of a nation.
Addressing the function held to mark the completion of the road development project in Mahibadhoo in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, President Abdulla Yameen highlighted the efforts exerted by the administration in providing more educational opportunities for the youth. The president also noted that the ground-breaking progress achieved by the education sector as the positive results of the policies implemented by the administration.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Yameen also lauded the top achievements of Maldivians in the top Universities of the world and in international examinations. Moreover, the president revealed plans to conduct a land reclamation project for Mahibadhoo if given a second term in office. In this regard, the president said the land area of Mahibadhoo will be increased by 50% to 10 hectares.
The president expressed the administration has spent nearly USD 570 million for the development of the islands across the Maldives. In this regard, the president said the administration spent over USD 7.3 million for the development of Mahibadhoo.
During his visit to Mahibadhoo, President Yameen participated in the ceremony to mark the completion of road development project. After departing from Mahibadhoo, the president then visited Mathiveri in Alifu Alifu Atoll, where he met with the island's community.
