Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated connecting Male' and Hulhule' was not just a dream publicised by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, but rather a constructive development.
The inauguration of the bridge marks the reality of the statement, "where there is hope, there is life," Housing Minister Muizzu said addressing the ceremony held to officially inaugurate the bridge. Noting the bridge is a testament to the strong relationship shared between Maldivian President Yameen and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the housing minister said in the past no leader exerted efforts to make the dream a reality.
During the ceremony, the minister highlighted the mega infrastructure projects conducted in the country, adding every individual will benefit from the bridge which has changed the history of the country.
